The Environmental Insurance Agency (EIA) was created by the Conservation Law Foundation as a market tool to fund advocacy efforts to fight air pollution and promote accessible and affordable public transportation. EIA is an agent of Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation and licensed to offer personal passenger and homeowners insurance policies in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our goal is to reward environmentally conscious drivers, who drive less, by advocating for the establishment of Pay-As-You-Drive (PAYD).
What is Pay-As-You-Drive (PAYD)?
PAYD, also known as mileage-based insurance, is a new way to think about auto insurance. PAYD policy premiums are tied to the number of miles a policy owner drives, which rewards policy owners who drive as few miles as possible. PAYD insurance promotes safety, fairness, consumer choice, and affordability.
